Nice and easy to modify, simple to install and a good looking theme. I have a couple of sites using this theme with the header image changed to reflect the content of the blog.
I have just installed Maple Leaf on a site I am building. May I say that I am just feeling my way around (for example, the code samples below are filled with spaces as I can’t figure out any other way to prevent Textile from stripping and interpreting the HTML).
What puzzles me is why this template seems to ignore built-in features of TXP.
Site tagline
The Default page template contains the following line:
< h 2 id="tagline">TagLine Here< / h 2 >
Since TXP has its own built-in “tagline” tag, why force the user to hand-code the tag in the Default and Archive page templates?
Sections
TXP allows you to insert a list of section using the “section_list” tag. However, the Maple Leaf template contains a “Navlist” which needs to be coded separately in the Default and Archive page templates. Why?
